About Basanta Crafts
Basanta Crafts started in 2019 from a simple idea: to connect traditional craftsmanship with people who value conscious, well-made products.
While travelling through India and Nepal, I discovered small artisan communities still practising skills passed down through generations. From copper work to hand-felted wool and natural materials, these crafts are often made using traditional techniques that are slowly disappearing in a world of mass production.
Basanta Crafts is a small independent project run by me. I work directly with artisans, source the products myself during my travels, and bring them to Europe, where I prepare and ship every order.
Each product you see in the shop is handmade by skilled makers — often small family workshops — who rely on these crafts for their livelihood.
Many of the materials used, such as copper, bamboo, cork, and wool, offer natural alternatives to everyday plastic products and are made to last.
By choosing handmade, you support traditional craftsmanship and help keep these skills alive.
Basanta Crafts is simply a bridge — connecting artisans in Asia with customers who appreciate authentic, thoughtfully made products.
“Made by hands. Inspired by tradition. Created for conscious living.”
